The title of this site is a homage to Italian lifestyle and comes from the legendary 3 hours movie "La dolce vita", filmed in Italy in 1959, by Federico Fellini, with that mythic actor called Marcello Mastroianni, and the girl coming to Italy from abroad... In the movie her name was Sylwia (Berlusconi :-), Anita Ekberg, as coming down from the Olympus, she represented the woman-Goddess celebrated in this site. Not only the expression "la dolce vita" comes from that movie, but also, for example, the name given to photographers, "paparazzi" :). Besides, "dolce vita" became the name of a kind of jersey. This movie caused a scandal for Church (and nobility), as today Da Vinci Code... In the kaleidoscope story Marcello (short name for "Marco" :) is a man who renounces to a career as a writer... The story conveys the love for gossip, as in this blog. The most famous scene is this here above, an epic one in cinema's history, when she goes inside the fountain in the night, and invites him to follow her... "Marcello, come here!"
More than a masterpiece.

(F. Fellini, "Raccontando di me")

Tadeusz Różewicz

Oglądam film o karnawale weneckim...
[...]

...dziewczyna w czarnych pończochach wabi
słonia dwa lwy niebieskie z malinowym jęzorem
i łapie w locie obrączkę ślubną.
Ciała nasze krnąbrne i nieskore do żałoby
nasze podniebienia smakują leguminę

popraw papierowe wstęgi i wieńce

pochyl się tak: biodro niech dotyka biodra

twoje uda są żywe
uciekajmy uciekajmy.

(Tadeusz Różewicz, 1946)

Assisto a un film sul carnevale veneziano...
[...]

fuggiamo, fuggiamo via.

ITALY WORLD CHAMPION !!!! (and Poland :)

POLSKI HYMN, ITALIAN HYMN

A curiosity. The anthems of these two nations seem linked, 'cause Polish one says:
"...z ziemi wloskiej do Polski..." (we came to Poland from Italian land)
And in the full version of the Italian there is:
"...il sangue d'Italia, il sangue polacco..." (blood of Italy, Polish blood)

Mister Noel Gallagher of Oasis brought luck to Italian team of his friend Del Piero.

I'll always remember this night inside this...casino :). As you can see from these psychadelic photos, it seemed a dream. A special atmosphere that Italian people felt for 4 times (1934-1938-1982-2006), and french people only 1 time! ihihihihi (1998, because they played at home...)

Maybe he lost the keys? :) (German goalkeeper)

France, bonjour tristesse! ehehehe... As your french de Coubertin said: the important thing is partecipating! ghghghghgh

Autunno in Toscana...

La Toscana è bella d'autunno.
Puoi camminare lungo i sentieri
I fichi pendono dolci dai rami

Ehm...cos'ho bevuto stasera?
