POLSKI HYMN, ITALIAN HYMN

A curiosity. The anthems of these two nations seem linked, 'cause Polish one says:
"...z ziemi wloskiej do Polski..." (we came to Poland from Italian land)
And in the full version of the Italian there is:
"...il sangue d'Italia, il sangue polacco..." (blood of Italy, Polish blood)

I'll always remember this night inside this...casino :). As you can see from these psychadelic photos, it seemed a dream. A special atmosphere that Italian people felt for 4 times (1934-1938-1982-2006), and french people only 1 time! ihihihihi (1998, because they played at home...)

Autunno in Toscana...

La Toscana è bella d'autunno.
Puoi camminare lungo i sentieri
che hanno il profumo dei funghi e delle ginestre.
Ascoltare le voci del vento
che chiama dai poggi orlati di cipressi e di abeti.
Pescare le anguille dove il torrente rotola
sui sassi scivolosi di borraccina.
Andare a caccia di lepri e di fagiani
nelle macchie di erica rossa.
Ed è tempo di vendemmia,
l'uva si gonfia violetta tra i pampini fitti.
I fichi pendono dolci dai rami
che fremono di fringuelli e di allodole.
Nei boschi le foglie si accendono di giallo e di arancione,
bruciando il monotono verde d'estate.

Ehm...cos'ho bevuto stasera? :) Questa poesia l'avevo imparata a memoria da bambino 25 anni fa e quasi me la ricordo ancora tutta (manca qualcosa). L'unica cosa certa è che i fichi pendono dolci dai rami e che fremono di fringuelli, poco ma sicuro...

The Da Vinci Code : Winchester (England)

Dedicated to an English model from Winchester I met in the streets of my city Milano.

Make up your own mind about The Da Vinci Code as Winchester explores its concepts, symbols and mysteries.

Dating back over 900 years, Winchester’s world-famous cathedral is as remarkable for its hidden treasures as for its spectacular architecture. Here, in the longest medieval nave in Europe, you’ll find outstanding works of art alongside the tombs of Jane Austen, Izaak Walton and the early English kings.

Winchester Cathedral provided the backdrop to some of the opening scenes in The Da Vinci Code, where its north transept portrayed the Vatican. The cathedral is now running a major exhibition entitled ‘Cracking the Code’, which invites you to explore the concepts and symbols in the book and to discover Winchester’s very own images and icons.

The exhibition runs until 21 July 2006 and is supported by a series of talks at Winchester College Chapel. And for our future historians, there are code-breaking trails and activities for children available throughout the summer. See www.winchester-cathedral.org.uk for more information.

Winchester is set to appear on the big screen once again in early 2007, when it will feature in Shekhar Kapur's 'The Golden Age' - the hotly anticipated follow-up to Kapur's award-winning 'Elizabeth'.
